James Kim   LAc.,O.M.D.,Dipl.Ac.

I worked as a computer programmer after graduating from Brigham Young University with B.S.in computer science. My body was exhausted from a strenuous work schedule. Ultimately, I began to have chronic back pain. One day my wife, Sue, strongly advised me to see an acupuncturist for treatment of my lower back. So I decided to heed to her advice. I had acupuncture treatments and ordered natural herb extraction formulas, called “HAN YAK” (Extraction and concentration of herbal formula). My back fully recovered and my overall health improved significantly after acupuncture treatment.

I was very curious about the acupuncture and herbal tea. Then, Sue asked me to go to acupuncture school. I chose to do so because of my pure interest and graduated from Samra University of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine with a master’s degree in Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture.

I continued my schooling at South Baylo University to increase my knowledge of Acupuncture and Asian Medicine and graduated with Doctor of Oriental Medicine.

I specialize in pain management and wellness and have been practicing since 1999.

Come see me, Thanks!

What is acupuncture?

Acupuncture of Oriental medicine is an ancient healing art developed approximately 4,000 (NIH) years ago and is used widely throughout Asia and Europe. It is recently considered as one of the newest primary health care provisions in North America.

Traditional Oriental Medicine is a complete system of medicine, it has been selected by World Health Organization (WHO) for world wide propagation to meet the health care needs of the 21st Century. Far more than a technique of inserting tiny thread like needles along meridian flow of the body.

Acupuncture points correct and balance the flow of blood and oxygen, stimulating the body’s own ability to heal itself without any chemical injections. Oriental Medicine’s complex system of diagnostic method considers a person’s whole body, not just isolated symptomatic areas. Modern Acupuncturists may use other treatment modalities such as moxibustion, herbal medicine acupressure and nutrition.
